Whether you’re new to building WordPress websites or you’ve been doing this sort of thing for years, here is a quick tip that is sure to grab your interest.
If you signed up for WordPress hosting via HostPapa, one of the first things you may have noticed is Gutenberg — the new default editor for all WordPress installations. While I am typically open to trying new things, I can’t help but feel that there was nothing wrong with the classic editor. After all, it’s part of what made WordPress so great. The editor was simple to use and easy to pick up for beginners.
So, what can you do?
Thankfully, using the classic WordPress editor is still an option. All you need to do is install the Classic Editor plugin. Once installed, activate the plugin and you’re good to go! That’s all there is to it. If you ever want to revert back to Gutenberg, simply deactivate the plugin at any moment.
Which do you prefer, and why — Gutenberg or the classic editor? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
